Assumption Catholic School has made a long term and vigorous commitment to the interdisciplinary program known as STEM. STEM is the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into an inquiry based learning strategy. Students are presented with a problem and must work together to identify the issues, brainstorm solutions, build a prototype, test and reevaluate, solve the problem, and communicate the findings.

STEM starts in kindergarten and builds in intensity and frequency into eighth grade. This progressive approach equips our students with the tools necessary to succeed in high school and beyond. They learn critical thinking, teamwork, perseverance, and problem solving skills that will carry them into the 21st century workforce as positive agents of change.
